Head into our space in Caloundra where nature, wildlife and art come together to create some awesome workshops and activities for everyone to enjoy.  Whether you are part of a group or on your own, everyone is welcome.

 

Our approach is a little different to others when it comes to showcasing our wildlife.  We believe in using a holistic approach to engage the community about our amazing flora and fauna.  We do this through using art, education and of course real live animals!

So whether you are looking at creating an art piece or maybe you want  to meet a lizard, we offer a range of opportunities that can give you both experiences.

 

Here at Happy Little Turtle, were all about the environment and the amazing critters that live around us, therefore we believe in the power of recycling and upcycling.  Through art, we show you how to transform trash into usable animal friendly pieces or fun art and craft pieces for your home making it the perfect experience for all ages!

Group Workshops

Join us at HLT HQ for an unforgettable experience! Our interactive Wildlife and Art workshops are perfect for businesses, NDIS providers, aged care facilities, and community groups looking for something a little different and exciting. Dive into creativity while connecting with nature in a fun and environment. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to explore art and wildlife together!

Program Highlights:

  • Nature-Based Art Projects: Create beautiful artworks inspired by the natural world, tailored to suit all abilities and support creative expression.

  • Wildlife Encounters: Experience the joy of meeting our friendly animal ambassadors. Learn about their lives and the important roles they play in our ecosystems, with opportunities to interact up close in a safe setting. 

  • Choose from a range of workshops focusing on specific species.  Or maybe your group would like to meet a few different ones at once.  We have a range of sessions to choose from.

  • Optional: Morning Tea (price on booking)

Details:

  • Duration: 2 hour workshop held at our space in Caloundra

  • Cost: $350 per group (up to 20 guests) - (carers & support workers are free of charge).  All materials supplied.

  • Booking: To book a session for your group, please email info@happylittleturtle.com.au

  • Designed For: Any groups looking for something a little different!  An engaging, educational & social experience for anyone young or old to enjoy!

NDIS Program at Happy Little Turtle

Are you looking for an activity for your participants?  At Happy Little Turtle, we’re excited to offer a program that everyone will enjoy.  This program is crafted to provide an inclusive, supportive environment where everyone can engage fully and comfortably. Each week, participants will enjoy a blend of interactive science experiments, nature-based art, and first hand encounters with our amazing HLT animals. 

Program Highlights:

  • Interactive Science Experiments: Delve into exciting experiments that make learning about scientific concepts accessible and fun.

  • Nature-Based Art Projects: Create beautiful artworks inspired by the natural world, tailored to suit all abilities and support creative expression.

  • Wildlife Encounters: Experience the joy of meeting our friendly animal ambassadors. Learn about their lives and the important roles they play in our ecosystems, with opportunities to interact up close in a safe setting.

Details:

  • Duration: Ongoing, one session per week  (rotates topics each week) - 3 hour session

  • Cost: $60 per person, per session

  • Booking: To attend, please email us at info@happylittleturtle.com.au.  Each session will be billed after attendance.

  • Designed For: NDIS participants looking for an engaging and educational, social experience that caters to individual needs and preferences.

  • Available for both adults and children.

Home School Workshops

Join us every Thursday  in Term 4 from 9:30am - 1pm for an incredible learning time filled with nature based science experiments, art and much more

Unlock the Wonders of Nature Over Seven Exciting Weeks!

Happy Little Turtle is thrilled to offer a unique, term-long homeschool program designed to immerse young learners in the fascinating world around them. Each week, attendees will dive into hands-on science experiments, create nature-based art, and learn about the diverse ecosystems that make our planet so remarkable.

Program Highlights:

  • Interactive Science Experiments: Explore scientific concepts through fun, engaging activities that bring learning to life.

  • Nature-Based Art Projects: Express creativity and connect with the environment through art projects inspired by the natural world.

  • Wildlife Encounters: Meet and learn about some of our beloved HLT animals each week. Get up close and personal with these amazing creatures, understanding their habitats and the roles they play in our ecosystems.

Details:

  • Duration: 7 weeks, one session per week - commencing 17th October - 28th November

  • Cost: $60+GST per person, per week

  • Booking: Secure your child’s place with a non-refundable $100 deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 5 days prior to the program start.

  • Age Group: Ideal for young learners who are eager to explore, learn, and grow their understanding of nature and science.
